Baccarat is a French card game that involves a banker or dealer and two players or "punters". It is similar to blackjack, where players place bets against the house based on the total amount of their cards. The banker works with eight-deck "shoes" and deals each player at the table baccarat (maximum fifteen) an equal amount of cards.

American Baccarat

Canada, Australia and Sweden enjoy American Baccarat (also known as punto banco), in which the dealer uses an eight-deck shoe.

Mini-Baccarat

Mini-baccarat is the most popular baccarat game. It does not use the number 13 during play. This game is preferred by people who are afraid of the number 13. Mini-baccarat is a game where fewer people play against the same odds as regular baccarat. Mini baccarat can be played with a six-decker shoe.

Baccarat en Banque

Baccarat en Banque is the least used version of the game. It uses three decks instead of eight.

You must correctly predict which hand (yours or the dealer) is closest to the "natural," or nine point count, in order to win at Baccarat. You can also bet on a tie if you believe the point counts to be equal. Tie is the highest-paying bet.
